MA352 and Sonus faber Nova 1 speakers have arrived. Stands came prefilled with nylon beads, too. I opened the bases to add kitty litter and to my surprise the beads spilled out. A full little mess to clean up. I am using the IsoAcoustic Gaia III feet on the bases.

Very nice.
Trying to decide what to use under my stands and GAIAs are at the top of my list.
I did put Herbie's 'Dots' between the speakers and top of the stands and it improved the sound just enough to be noticeable. I put them there primarily to protect the finish so the slight improvement in SQ was a bonus.
Also, added 12.5# of lead shot and the rest being sand to the stands. Made an immediate improvement in the sound-stage 'focus'. Everything sort of 'locked-together' with the addition of ~30# of fill in each stand.

Miner-

Quite the bodacious "second" system!

Enjoy Those sounds!

As expected the Nova 1 are a bit light on the lower octaves but I only have about 6 hrs of use on so far. I do not have plans to add a sub and feel the Novas will improve over time. This system was not meant for critical listening although at times it may be used for downtime music while kicked back in the lounger.

Maybe consider playing with the eq? You might find the perfect nudge in the lower range.

It's a fine setup, and I am a stand-mount guy myself, but the Nova 1's are not able to go low. EQ is just going to mess up their other fine attributes. It's either a sub (that the OP has said he does not want) or live without

I was of the same mindset; then I twisted the bass knob on the c22, and the bass sounded incredible. I did not notice any negative with inserting the eq.

Now I believe this is due to a lessen than ideal speaker placement, but better to protect the speakers from the little ones' toys.

It doesn't hurt to try, and I was surprised by the response in my room. I am glad I did because the system brings more joy to my listening experience.
