Additionally, to prevent any possibillity of "failure modes" with respect to oxidation, the copper wires for the signal jacks are coated with a clear lacquer, so they can't oxidize, either. The lacquer approach is exactly the same as what Paul Speltz of Anti-Cables uses, with the exception he uses a red rather than clear lacquer for his cables.

So..no oxidation problems. If you knew Emmanuel Go and the thoroughness of how meticulous he is...he's already thought all this through.
Never say never..............
Plus, the Shindo (and AirTight, for that matter) is considerably more attractive to my eye.

Shindo is beautiful looking and fantastic sounding gear. My directions in this hobby have taken me elsewhere due to matching however whenever I have seen or heard Shindo, it makes think "...where can I put another system in the house?"

Hello all, new member here with a question about a Stereophile review of the Monbrison that was dated Aug of 2017.
It gave high praise to a redesign of this model by the son of the late Ken Shindo and I wanted to ask if he has released any other redesigns since then.

He redesigned the Cortese amplifier as well. It's offered as a 300b now and I believe still offered as F2a.

Thank you, I wasn't aware of that. The Monbrison review included a picture of the circuitry, which showed a very clean design, so I'm sure the same is true of the Cortese.
I wonder if Shindo will ever offer a color other than gold for their control knobs; aluminum or stainless would have a better aesthetic with the green casework IMO.
