I would go for the 802D4. At least that is my plan for the time being.

Jealous of the 802 choice, need a bigger space than I have. I am all in on a pair of 804s though. Cannot wait! |

We can close this thread now… we know when the D4 is coming :-)

Anyone want to create a new thread? Maybe What’s new with D4’s and/or listening experience?

Listen to your heart Art! You have waited too long not to get the D4, as have I (rocking the D2 for 9 years!). For me the D4 addresses everything I did not like about the D3. Even the speaker grills are soooo much better (not that I use them, just saying their eye for detail has improved significantly across the new series).
I'm debating between the 803D4 and the 802D4. Theoretically, the midrange on up could be a better on the 803, depending on how well the reworked crossovers are. However, the 802 overall will be better balanced. The 803 is domestically more suitable for my application so it's mostly going to come down to price. But if I can get a better deal on the 802 then that's the direction I'll go even with it's bigger footprint. |

When it's completed my room will be 25 x 18 x 10 (Ft), so the 802 should fill the space perfectly. |
