Seagull 1963 Aviator
Thought you guys would like to see my new Seagull 1963 chronometer...just got it yesterday. This watch was issued to Chinese aviators in the early 60s and features a 19 jewel mechanical hand-wind movement. Everything is made as an in-house manufacture; Seagull is the 4th, or possibly the 3rd, largest watch company in the world.
Pushers activate, stop, and reset the red sweep second hand and minute subdial. Has an acrylic crystal like vintage watches which gives the watch a nice, warm look. The dial is really nicely done a pearlescent cream color with raised numerals and index markers, and the hands have a really nice blue color. Comes with an olive drab NATO strap. Taken with my new Fuji XF60mm f/2.4 Macro lens and Fuji X-T1.   The Seagull has an exhibition back that shows the movement, jewels and blue-steel screws...quite a conversation starter.  BTW, the Fuji XF 60mm f/2.4 Macro is wonderful....picked this up used but virtually like new for $285.
