Joel, I listened to this one this weekend, and I liked it.

Ray Charles – Piano, Electric Piano, Alto Saxophone, Vocals
Milt Jackson – Vibraphone, Electric Piano, Guitar
Billy Mitchell – Tenor Saxophone
Skeeter Best – Guitar
Oscar Pettiford – Bass

Is this new release also musically good?
I love it. They put melody first so it is not your typical weird notes jazz these 2 masters know that less is more. It's a lovely recording.

Here's a review quote;
Quote:
'This is about as simple a recording as you’re ever going to hear: two musicians, one microphone and each track performed live, straight to DXD recording – and it’s totally enchanting…all that spontaneity comes over in spades in this set, which has the usual Sound Liaison recording quality, plus that unmistakable sense of two musicians just bouncing off each other, improvising and making the shape of the songs up as they went along. This is as live as it gets, with a real "in the room with the musicians" impression.' —Andrew Everard, Hifi Critic

(for those who might be interested;The album is also available at
https://soundliaison.bandcamp.com/ but only in 24/96
for DXD go to;
https://www.soundliaison.com/
and for DSD you can go to Native DSD)

Roy Hargrove & Mulgrew Miller - In Harmony
Resonance Records (2021), 180g vinyl

A fine 2-record set of live performances. Very nice sound and great music-making. It’s a shame we’ve lost both Miller and Hargrove.

Sinne Eeg & Thomas Fonnesbæk - Staying In Touch
Qobuz 24/96

Well done!
A (good) voice and a bass, it's a working combination.
She's a brilliant interpreter.
Staying in touch, something we all must do in these times!
