Default PS Audio - P5 AC Power Plant Aquisition

I have just received my new P5 Power Plant from Ivan just a couple of days ago, and I have to say the improvement to both the quality of the sound of my SS and the visual quality of my Sony TV is quite noticeable.

First, thank you Ivan for recommending the P5 over the other options I was considering. I am quite pleased with the quality of this product and the impact on my entertainment system, while at the same time protecting my cherished investments.

Once I had the unit plugged in and operating, I turned on the TV and was immediately struck by the clarity of the image, especially in HD. It was almost as if had also purchased a new TV.

Then later on I sat back and listened to some music, and was again rather surprised on how the sound was noticeably clearer and better defined.

This is one tweak that I would strongly encourage anyone to consider. If you see your entertainment system as a significant investment and you want to enjoy it, and protect it for many years to come, I would recommend you seriously consider a P5 Power Plant from PS Audio.

Never underestimate the power of clean power! Every opinion/review I've ever read regarding PS Audio Power Plants has been nothing short of stellar. Thanks for posting.

Same experience here on the P5. Don't underestimate the charge they can sustain. My whole system is on it and it works perfect.

Same experience here with P10s in both my stereo and home theater systems.

Back when I had only one P5 to my TV, I pulled it out to try on the stereo. That night when my wife started to watch TV, she asked me what happened to the picture and said that it look washed out. I told her that I put in my stereo and she made me put the P5 back to the TV. it was that dramatic.

I also picked up a new P5 on the second hand market recently and am very pleased with the improvement it's brought over the HiDiamond HDX2 I was using.

There is one undocumented - not upfront - sticking point, however. By design, they put the first outlet so close to the source cord inlet that a typical aftermarket size connector can't fit in there; i.e., it was laid out for an OEM sized connector. And the idiocy of it is that the first outlet is a high current one! They have no explanation for this choice but that there are "different sized connectors out there."

I can now add same experience with the P15, both for audio and video. In addition, it turns out that the power cord to the regenerator matters too. It’s in effect an amplifier and Paul McGowan mentioned in an Ask Paul video that its regeneration is only 90% effective, and so a better power cord helps. And not just any: In the WyWires line, I tried the second from the top Platinum, and while that improved clarity over the PS Audio AC12 I had been using, it lost the staging focus. Going up to the Diamond model solved that and more.
