You already have the equivalent of 3 of Ducati's best and that's just occupying the bottom shelf on your rack in the Aida room.

My local dealer (Fast by Ferracci) is holding this 848 EVO Corse SE for me... Always wanted a Ducati, never actually bought one... I know it is far from comfortable to ride... Getting a bit old for these bikes too... But it is gorgeous! They are rather tough to get in this trim! Comes w traction control and Ducati Quick Shift.

I bought a Ducati 748 after a 10 year break from riding and although the first few rides were painful (body not used to the ride position) if you ride regularly you do get used to it. Another 10 years on and I've now got a 998S Final Edition which I ride most Sundays in 5 to 10 hour sessions. After I get home, after a couple of beers I'm more or less pain free again!

There is no better feeling than riding a Ducati. A motor with heaps of torque and handling that feels like you're riding on rails. My stress levels are zero when I get back from a ride and I grin like an idiot for the next few hours.

The Ducati is great bike but I have to say this litte cafe racer would be great for coffee runs and cruising the back roads

Serge, I will be the party pooper here. When one gets to a point in life, like you, where a number of people depend on you it is time to take motorcycles, skydiving and roof repair off the list. Besides, you have some epic cars for a driving fix.

My kids are the only reason why I've held off. I've come close but pulled back at the last moment. But its hard to watch them drive by ... I miss the feeling.

I agree. I sold my bikes when I got married. Bikes are super safe right up to the point of impact.

I warned a couple of my European work mates not to try and ride like they did back home. On Michigan roads passing up the middle at lights will get you picked off here as sport. One of them now has a permanent limp and had to learn the hard way.

I hear you guys on the dangers... That thought is always there. I try to spread the risk by not using bikes for commuting and avoid rush hours, traffic and very busy roads. It is pure recreation for me and I seek out the back roads as much as possible. It's not about speed as much as it is about having fun flicking the bike through some nice twisties... I have tried many times to give it up for good but every time I do, I miss the bikes and riding a lot. It is one of those special things that makes me really happy in life. What can I say, I hope this hobby continues to be a pleasant one for me.
