AKG K702 Top of the Line Headphones Unboxing Video
Just got this up on YouTube (may not be in HD yet). Hope you guys like it. Please comment and share. I will update this thread with my thoughts on how it sounds. I planned to use it with either my Lehmann Black Cube Linear or PS Audio GCHA amp.

*** Update ***
The headphones has been burning in with my Lehmann BCL since and here are some early impressions. I played them through the Lehmann BCL & my Bellari HA540 OTL tube amp (upgraded Mullard 12AX7 tube). To my ears, the Bellari sounded a bit better with the K702. On the Lehmann Black Cube Linear amp, Highs are soft bass is full and the mids are smooth. Comparing the K702 to my D7000 & HD800, the K702 is very mellow and slow. It doesn't have the slam of the D7000 and the sweet mids of the HD800. Everything is "nice sounding" and easy to listen to. I would go as far as saying that the sound is not involving. If you want to dive into the music and zone out, look elsewhere.

I'm comparing them to HD 800's and HE 90's, and they are not even close. I really need better cables for a fair comparison!

You think the stock cable on the K702 is the weakest link? A upgraded Cardas cable cost more than the K702!
