Indeed the second season starts tomorrow. Very exciting for us Leaf fans here in Toronto. Been a long time since we have had skin in the game come playoff time. Not saying they will win the cup but this could be the surprise team. Young, scrappy and a great coach. Go Leafs!

Well the Wings had to win their last four games to sneak in and keep their playoff streak going at 22 years. Fortunately they won't have to play the Hawks in Round 1, but LA is going to be tough too. At least this is the last year the Wings have to play all those west coast games during the regular season and playoffs.

The problem is usually the teams that are on top of their divisions ie East and West are the first ones to fall...

Bit of a confession -
I've been a die-hard Leafs fan since the 'Original Six'.
After hanging in the closet for the last eight years, I shook the moths out of my Maple Leafs jersey and wore it proudly to our annual playoff pool.
Based on their first round matchup and how Toronto played against Boston this year I ended up picking two Bruins and no Leafs. (I picked with my wallet and not with my heart). I'm hoping Kessel can prove me wrong.

I have also been a Leafs fan since the days of no helmets of facemasks. This a young, hungry team that follow their coaches direction. A few breaks and Riemer coming up big in the net....who knows.
