Thanks Toga, it appears the only changes are to the shelf boards. Hmm I'll have to give that some thought. I'll have to read up if they're updating their Sound Creation Boards as well

Yes David, some SCB are updated too, in this same PDF file you will see. I used SCBRS50 under my power conditioner for a long time. TAOC offer very affordable price. Now I am thinking about CS65D sound board for my Gryphon per Your suggestion. Toga
Based on their description, both boards do have sonic character. Last edited by TOGA; 10-08-2013 at 12:07 AM. |

Hi Toga, I contacted my Dealer tonight and told him I want to trade up my current Taoc racks to the new Series 2 racks I'm also trading up my new/unused SCB board since the Stillpoints have made a heavy iso board redundant. I'm also trading up some optional Taoc footers I had on stock (which were made redundant by the FE Cerabases). So in a few weeks i'll be one of the first audiophiles to try the Series 2 racks (albeit with extensive Stillpoints in use )

That is cool ! I don't think it is financially worth for me to sell FE HD02, so I will live with them and man, they are not bad at all.
for amp platform SCB-CS65D is quite cheap I might try it. but stuff like this is likely to be dent or scratched the first time of use, so home audition before buying is normally impossible, even Cerabase are not refundable once used. Actually I could even buy once more RS50G . two of RS50G will be large enough for Gryphon. Toga |

I agree with your earlier comment & would not change anything until your Memphisto & Q7's have reached 250hrs & you've moved your Q7's onto their own feet. I agree the Taoc SCB's are very good value, but at the level of your system, if you're in favor of an amp stand over iso feet (eg: Stillpoints), i'd look at a custom-made platform from Critical Mass Systems or SRA matched to the weight/size of your amp.
