I had a pair of 802 Diamonds, latest version, matched with a Mac MC402. Nice, but not as good as I wished. I moved on to a Classe Audio CA-2300 and felt it was a much better match for me. Gave me more air and detail, with the same great midrange and tighter bass. I love McIntosh, but it wasn't the right combo for me. |

It depends on your personal preferences in hearing music.
When I look around in the forum there are some which changed their equipment from Classe to McIntosh and there are some which go the other way. I had Classe gear before I change to McIntosh. For me the Classe sound is more a cold and technic style and the McIntosh sound is more smoother, warmer, more "round", what I like very much more. I think if you had the chance to choose before you buy one of both you should look for a dealer where you can hear both systems under same conditions. Then I think it will be very easy for you to find out what you prefer Peter Sent from my iPhone using A.Aficionado |

600watts!! Whichever you choose these amps have performance! They both are well reviewed too. You must get both in your house and compare if you want an intelligent solution. Then you may prefer one for six months, change your mind and try something else. Sent from my iPhone using A.Aficionado |
