Eric Clapton's Timepieces record from my teen years in the mid-80s. It has the live version of Cocaine which has a nice solo that the CD and Tidal streaming versions do not have. Sounds fantastic on vinyl.

The Who: Who's next on vinyl I bought in 1986. The record and my more recent 24-bit 96kHz FLAC download from HDTracks sound very close in sound quality.

Thanks! I like it a lot over 3 decades after having bought the vinyl version. I have the high rez download from HDTracks as well. Seeing them at RFK Stadium back in the summer of 1989 was one of the best concert experiences I've had.

Perhaps one of the greatest debut rock albums of all time. Boston on the TT (record purchased in 1985) and remastered DSD version on the DAC. The remastering makes the DSD version sound better.

"Sheriff John Brown always hated me
For what I don't know
Every time that I plant a seed
He said, 'Kill it before it grows'
He said, 'Kill it before it grows', I say
I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self-defense."
(Originally sung by Bob Marley)

Clapton on SACD.

Have an early (mid-80s?) CD of 461 and it will make your ears bleed. LP, SACD or remastered CD have to be better. Definitely need a new copy as I haven't listened to mine in 20yr, or more.

Attended a live concert this evening at a local, renovated theater, the LeVoy in Millville, NJ. Was two Brit bands that played Beatles and Stones music. While they were merely OK, it was an entertaining evening, as they got the audience involved. They also brought in the string section from the local HS band to play on tunes like Eleanor Rigby, Ruby Tuesday, etc., which was nice of them. Watching the fellow trying to mimic Mick reminded me of just how great an on-stage presence he was. No one has ever compared, in my estimation. Too bad he is even older than me.

The SACD of 461 is great.

I would have enjoyed hearing the high school band play the bass strings of Eleanor Rigby.
