Default Vinyl Sales & Trends: What's Missing?

So I'm sitting here tonight listening to a little Schumann & my better half walks in and tells me about this article she read recently in The Economist: The revival of vinyl: Back to black | The Economist. I said I had read it too, and the one thing both of us noted is missing in the article - guess what it is?

Sad reminder that this magazine isn't what it used to be. That being said, the sales figures are encouraging.

You hit the nail on the head Serge! Amazing how they simply miss the point. I know I'm squared away with boss-girl and the WAF when she's bringing that fact to me.

Agreed! They should have taken it much further and discussed the destruction provided by lossy compression, mp3s, and iTunes.

I would assume they'd be more focused on, um, the economics?

I agree that Vinyl does not sound better than good digital.

However, I think Vinyl sounds better than everyman's mp3/lossy itunesy docking station stuff.

I agree that there are excellent examples of both. (lossy digital is still a shame and awful)

Not enough stir around here, Cyril?
