Not "getting old" per se, grew up, more mature, etc, ...

Seriously, I cant stand rock BUT did bought back some just for old times sake! Listenable rock (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath ... and only select pieces), not the hard, hard metal!

The new Shelby Lynne album is awesome. Since I commissioned the MT10 last weekend, it is the best sounding LP I have played so far. Of course the music is great too!

Dean's right about the Oscar Peterson, We Get Requests from Quality Record Pressings...I have it and it's excellent.

As a general rule for you jazz aficionados, any of the Music Matters 45 rpm Blue Note remasters are all superb.

But probably my favorite remaster/re-pressing company is Speakers Corner. A German group that remasters and repressses jazz, classical as well as rock and pop. Always superb remasters and the highest quality pressings which are dead quiet. Thank goodness for Speakers Corner!

Except for Speakers Corners Impulse reissues. They were unable to get first generation masters for those issues. I was warned to be aware of that.

Otherwise, everything I have from Speakers Corner is excellent.

PMCH , Ditto on the David Crosby ! I have the newer Rhino label reissue, not the Classic Records pressing. Listened last night, pretty good supporting cast on that one. The Shelby Lynne is a no brainer if you like Just a little Lovin.

Can I use this forum to beg Chad for a little Eva Cassidy on QRP. My Songbird 180 gram sounds very good, but I want more, more, more.... Oh, Chad !

fjn04, my David Crosby lp is the Rhino mastered one also. Eva Cassidy's Songbird is great as well as Shelby Lynne - Just a little lovin. Also like Melody Gardot's One and only Thrill and The Absence
