Sweet!!! I have an MC2205 driving a pair of 4313B's in my Florida room. McIntosh and JBL synergy is tough to beat.

Those 4311's look really nice. I've long lusted for a pair of these.

Thanks Pete. I switched pictures after you quoted. I think the 4311Bs like the L100s are a lot of fun but I find them heavy on the mids and colored sounding, "fake but fun" as Zilch from the LH forum would say. The Bi-Radial monitors (4430, 4425s) that I have are keepers, they do everything right. Love them to death. Lansing Heritage article on them.

That sounds like something Zilch would say.... They sure are fun though, and ever since I sold my L100's in 1982 so I could move up to the L220A's, I find myself wishing I still had them. I've never owned one of the horn-loaded JBL's like the 4425, 4430 etc. I'm sure they are great.

There is something about the L100 and its cousins (i.e. 4310, 4311) that appeals to me.

It may be part cosmetics, and also their part in audio history, which is undeniable. And the sound is not bad either!

Pete

Has anyone on the board heard either the S/3100 or S/2600? They came out around 1994 or so. Mainly in Japan, I think. Horn loaded two way. I/ have a pair of S/2600's (12" woofer vs. 15" in the S/3100). 92 db/ 6 ohm-----works great w/McIntosh MC402!

Here we go again; I just can't get away from JBL.
I put together 16 Ohms 001 system, mint 136A, new in box LE175 8-16 Ohms with mint 1217-1290 horns, and like new N1200. I feel proud as they look like I just walked through time and got them. Then cabinets, what to do. And Mac4100 mint is waiting patiently.
Oh here is the 300 watt one,
JBL 2452H-SL drivers with JBL Horn square 90 degree, very smooth, an E145-8, and 3110A 800 hz, and almost done with the cabinets with walnut veneer. A Crown Macro MA-1202 will do the 300 watt honor with the BSS FCS 966 EQ. Once is done I see what it can do.
Again the beauty of JBL can't get away.
Angel
I will post pictures soon
