I've looked at lots of potential bikes, but the Cervelo S5 is the most beautiful and the most comfortable I've tried yet. I'll primarily be on smooth bike paths. Can't wait.

Carbon is great, steel is at least as comfortable but heavier, and older aluminum is not comfortable at all, but I've read that the newer aluminum is better. Take time to educate yourself and you'll be glad you did.
Bike fit is a BIG deal. And then there are the different fit equipment, ie Retul, FIST, Guru, etc. Based in my research, I'm inclined to find a certified Retul fitter. Do you have a preference?

Budget = $3k - $5k. I intend to ride at least 30 mins a day (to start).

Other parts don't come to mind since it was built a long time ago. Now, I just ride it and don't concern myself with changes or upgrades.
I hope to get there sometime real soon .

This is an older picture. I have since changed the Fizik saddle to the same model with different finish, and changed the SPD trail pedals to the Ultegra pedals mentioned above. The stem is different now too.
What a beauty!!
