Hi Stereohead,

Quite happy with the sound of the system, soundstage is large, good depth, and the magico's are great in focussing, all instruments and voices can easily be followed and sound very realistic.
Lately I have visited some audio shows in Holland, cheaper systems but also more expensive then I have, when I got home and listened to my own system again, I enjoyed it more.
That must be a good sign!!

Olaf

Your system looks beautiful. I like your choice of bubinga for your rack. Just beautiful.

Hi Olaf, you have a wonderful looking system, room & ride. I too am a fan of Magico & am planning on upgrading to S5's in the future. I am also a fan of Jorma cables from Sweden, not too far north from you in the Netherlands.
Thanks for sharing your fabulous photos & to Audio Aficionado!
Cheers,

Thanks David,

Really enjoying my V3's, I know they are old news now in Magico land, but you can get them now at bargain prices.
Probably I am a bit biased (as I own them myself), but after hearing the S5 a couple of times, I prefer the V3's. I really like the ring radiators together with the lightning fast mids.
Also in the low frequencies the V3's are matching well with my relative small listening room.
(6x4 mtr)

In Defense of the S5, I have only heared them in show conditions, I should hear them in my own system to have a final conclusion.

Olaf

Olaf, your conclusions are interesting as the S5 uses the same, or very close to the same 6" nano-tec midrange and goes lower & higher in frequency extremes. Cabinet technology is also a step closer to the Q series. I can't imagine Magico building a speaker to replace the V3 they didn't think sounded better, but then again that is a subjective question..
