Default MT10: Acrylic Dust Cover >[CUSHION]<

I noticed that when lifting off and lowering down the acrylic dust cover on to my audio rack that you risk damaging the four corners of the cover.

What I see happening is either chipping the corners, fracturing or other damage.

To remedy the risk, at each of the four corners where the cover lands, I added soft padding. You can buy these pads at Home Depot. One side is cushy soft and the other side has a gentle adhesive.

Problem solved. See photo.

Great idea. You might like corner/L-shaped felt pads better.

Hey themaxx. I made a cut-out L shape edition of the cushion and there is a issue on my end. The problem with the L-shape version is that you need to make sure when you lower the cover, it's absolutely accurate. The circular variation allows you some wiggle room when lowering the cover. The more linear edition does impose some accuracy.
