Hurricane Kills Million-Mile SUV, Toyota Replaces It For Free
Motor Trend 3/29/23 Cool ! Florida: Miller got to the million mile marker in his original Highlander doing road paving work across the state. "I've probably done about 8,000 trips across Alligator Alley in that Highlander," said Miller; "I think I took it for granted at times. After 17 years, only a catastrophic flood could kill it." https://www.motortrend.com/news/mill...ida-hurricane/ Might be $1M or more worth of free advetising for Toyota. I say Toyota deserves it. ____________________ Over the years (17?) I've had 3 (4?) used Toyota p/ups with the 4 cyl engines and they were all great; one was a 4x4. I also bought a new Landcruiser in '74. Just now looking up the 4 bangers to see if they were called 22R/RE, the first thing I saw was this: Is the Toyota 22RE a good engine? "The 22R and RE are by far the most reliable engines Toyota ever built, I had three pickups with both the 22R and RE engines and never had a problem. All of them had well over 200,000 miles on them. When I sold my 92, it had over 350,000 miles on it." Feb 13, 2010 ______________________________ I went back to full sized p/ups years ago when I bought my 3rd F250. The first and 3rd were used; the 2nd was a new 4x4 in the late 80's. I've told folks that this 3rd is a Super Cab long-bed 4x4 with a V10 and it passes everthing but a gas staion. It's my 1st 4x4 without a manual transfer case. My only other 4x4 was an old '56 ton & 1/2 Power Wagon. in the mid 70's. .
