Default My new toys

Just unpacked my Triton, my Anaconda speaker cables and Cobra power and IC's. These things aren't even burned in yet,but WOW, what a difference, money well spent. I had Cardas Golden Ref, NO comparison. I'll keep you posted as they burn in......

Fantastic! Did you install everything at the same time or are you upgrading methodically?

As a Shunyata customer, I know what you are going through. Next on my list is either a Triton or Talon.

All atthe same time. Spring for the Triton. It's not just 2 Talos'. It's truly a big difference. I had a PS Audio P5 that I was fairly happy with at first. I was also happy with my Cardas cables. These are a world apart. Again, not even burned in yet.

Did you do a comparo of the two? (Triton and Talos)

Glad you are pleased. The dynamics and openness achieved with Shunyata DC, ICs, SCs and PCs in my system was incredible.

Congratulations Penthouse D on the new Shunyata cables, sure they are going to be awesome... I had noticed you went to the Anaconda for speaker cables and with Cobra for ICs and would love to know did you found there was more value in going for the top speaker cable with the Zitrons and that was this less critical with the interconnects? I have heard plenty of rave about the cobra cables.

Graham,

I recently purchased a Cobra digital cable. Really transformational.

What would you say is the difference between the Triton and the P5?

Did you try the new cables with the P5?

Grats on your Triton, you're in for a ride!

What is immediately obvious is the major drop in noisefloor with the Triton. During the coming weeks your system will come to life as you burn the stuff in.

Connecting powerhungry stuff on the Triton on every outlet will speed up the burning in process and see to that every outlet/filter is properly burned in.

Would be cool to try out the zitron PC's although I'm very confident of the bigger furutech PC's but there is some cool technology in there.. Fun.

I heard very little difference with the P5. The Triton is a far superior unit. As far as the Triton and Talos is concerned, I spoke with a tech at Shunyata, and he told me that there was a world of difference between the units. Far "beefier" internally. I also spoke with him about where the $$$ should be spent, he felt the bigger bang for the buck was in the speaker cables. Everything is Zitron including the Cobra powercords and the IC's.
