Default Welcome To My World: temporarily downsized

Since Covid my Stradivari’s and McIntosh system have been in temperature controlled storage. We sold our home in Feb 2021 and have been living in our vacation place . I have the cash to buy another house but I don’t like to buy in a sellers market (not a great time to be a buyer) so I’m purposely waiting for the market to become more buyer and less seller. In the meantime my theater which was 120 inch , Sony projector, McIntosh processor and amplifiers with 2 jl audio subs is a now a Sony 85 inch tv with a sonos arc surround sound system with 2 sonos subs and my 2 channel system is sonus Fabre Guarneri memento with sonos amp and sonos sub. I am really looking forward to building a even better theater system to what I had before and getting my 2 channel system out of storage. Anyone else temporarily or permanently downsized?

1KW - we are contemplating the same thing. Selling the main home, putting stuff in storage, living on the summer shack for a bit, maybe renting a downtown Boston condo, then deciding. In our case, we have currently a modestly sized living room system, so I hope to build out something brand new. Not so much about downsizing, but about where to live, center of mass with the kids getting out of college, etc.
Need to decide when to stop working too. Lots to consider. All good problems.

clpetersen my wife and I are a few years ahead of you with kids (two daughters) through collage and 1500 miles from us in opposite directions. For now we are staying put until retirement and her parents concerns change.

1KW I wish you the best with your theater system take 2 when it happens.

Sonos arc and sun are not too bad for backup system and video audio. We use it as our background music when in the living area. You could be much worse off.
