Mike, may I ask where you heard this?

Read a reference to it in Audiocircle.com while doing a bit more research on music servers. The BDP-1 section is very informative.

Sometimes they refer to a "BDP-2" or "BDP-3" when they have more than one BDP-1 installed on the same network, in order to give each a unique identifier. Are you sure this isn't what you saw?

Would have to go back and revisit. Not a big deal. I'm sure James will comment if there is an imminent product launch.

Hi Mike

We have looked at the idea of a BDP 1 with a more powerful motherboard to handle bigger libraries etc. but the cost would have to increase quite a bit so we are still considering if it makes any sense given no performance advantage. In other words it would just add more features not performance.
