I think I may pull the Polks from further investigation. It somehow bothers me still that they have two 10" woofers, yet normal operation has them going down to only 32Hz; Legacy Signature SEs, on the other hand, go down to 22Hz, and they have two 10" woofers also. Different speaker, different engineering, roughly the same power requirements; however there's lower impedance and higher sensitivity for the Signatures.
I'm stuck on the notion that if I replace my Mirages, I want something around what I'm used to or better in terms of frequency range and a similar overall size. The Signature SE is more expensive than the Polks, on yet another hand, so there's that.
