It is a bit like hoping that 2014 Chevy Impala will beat 2013 BMW 5-series ...

I suspect if you pitted the top of the line Impala (SS, 400 plus HP) against the most basic 5 series (which would still cost considerably more $$) the Chevy would be the first to take the stripe……………..but it would still be a Chevy….

The Panasonic TC-P50ST60 is out of stock at all the big box and small brick & mortar stories in my area. In case anyone is interested, B&H Photo have a few left. Mine is on order.

Thanks for the info. It's hard to believe that they'll soon be gone. I have a 50" and a 46" and both are still excellent. Don't know which way I'd go if I had to replace one.

I think Samsung is still producing plasmas for the consumer market.

In a horribly sad development, I returned my Panny 65 inch zt to the store this week after it developed 4:3 burn in that I could not remove with screen wipe rehab. My kids watch about 45 min of 4:3 a day that there was no work around for full screen viewing (uverse issue). This developed uneven burn in on the screen after a few months. Especially noticeable during hockey games.
I could've gotten another as there are plenty in stock, but as this is the family tv, I decided I could not live with the stress of monitoring this issue. I traded "up" to a 4k xbr led LCD. Picture quality....not even close. The Panny kills it. Sad. Sad. Sad. |

Here's a pic of my 65VT installed. A large improvement over the 58"
Pannasonic plasma we had for 7 years. |
