Getting back to bikes and Honda. A good friend called me last night excited as he had just bought a 1990 RC30 with only 3000 miles from the original owner. It had been lovingly kept in his home the last 20 years, drained, lubed, and plastics removed and wrapped. To say my friend is over the moon would be an understatement.

My wife loves her Grand Cherokee Overland and I have a lot of fun driving a Rubicon Wrangler which is my convertible fun. Both are reliable vehicles that got us through some nasty snow and weather. RC30 was a wet dream for many, I remember that bike well. My local dealer kept one around on display. congrats to your friend! That’s a keeper. Last edited by PHC1; 08-20-2021 at 03:19 PM. |

The gentleman my friend bought the RC30 from also has two 1978-79 Honda CBX's. One is still new in the crate and one with miles.

WOW! Sound like a dedicated collector. Must have been hard to part with the RC30 unless he had more than one!

Yes, very hard to part with it from what my friend told me. They have had a relationship for a few years after originally being introduced through a mutual friend. The gentleman is a rider and collector who is getting on in years and has some health problems. He wanted the RC30 to go to a good home where he knew it would stay locally and not be resold. My friend has a large car collection in nice temperature controlled buildings so the RC30 will reside there with a few bikes. I know how hard it will be for me to finally stop riding and part with my bikes. Fortunately, my son rides so most would stay in the family with the rest going to close friends who are younger, but are good riding buddies.

Came across this youtube channel called "TwinThing Custom Motorcycles".
Very creative cinematography and cool retro/custom bike builds from two brothers out of Dubai who seem to film in various countries and cool places. Check it out if you are into bikes! https://youtu.be/uI4aPrNJBK4 |
