But you haven't heard it in action, though you continue to blather on and on about how it can't work....

Apparently, the magnetism generated by an induction cooker can achieve the same results as the de-magnetiser and at much lower cost.
You must, however only leave it on top for a few seconds. |

But when I realized that my tape demag (like the Zerostat and the Furutech) couldn't get the demagnetized dust off the record, it was back to the Decca carbon brush |

I suggest that anyone interested in this topic looks up the difference between a static charge and magnetic charge....

Well as I recall, we said in the review, that this was an accessory for "the man that has everything..."
Hey Masterlu, you know what I mean? When I walked into the demo room at CES in 2007, I was all ready to shoot this down. I had a friend along with me that is a musician and a Physics Ph.D who was also prepared to give them a hard time. We heard the demo on a couple of different records and walked away impressed. Whether you want to spend $1800 on one of these is up to you. Again, Music Direct sells em and offers a money back guarantee. And I've got some of the quietest records you will ever hear... All these titles are now in "clear vinyl". It's a new formulation called "Clarity SV-P II". Classic Records Clarity Vinyl 200g 45rpm - elusivedisc

I have one of these -- Louie Armstrong and Duke Ellington. I don't remember if it is quieter than other records. It is a very fine recording. It is clear vinyl with material cut into only one side at 45 rpm, and only two or three songs to a side. I have only played it once since I got it several weeks ago. The spindle hole was very tight on my Clearaudio TT, very difficult to get back off the machine.

The Clarity Vinyl sounds good.
Which was interesting because when I tried the DeMag on clear or white albums (only have a few of those) I couldn't hear any diff. It's definitely a product to check out if you've taken everything else in your system as far as you want to go. |
