Keep Mclntosh C70 or go to C1100?
At first I thought next logical upgrade would be changing my MC312 to more power ( monoblocks ) or go to all tube power amplifier but seems I only use .30 to 3 watts on meters peaks at 30 watts even with inefficient Magnepan speakers as using 2 JL Audio subwoofers in stereo.
Thought of the Mclntosh C1100 but it has been in production since 2015. Also not happy no bass or treble controls at all... Already purchased D1109 digital preamplifier. Would the C1100 actually be an improvement to my system? Other concern is that keeping C70 better decision due to be anniversary model, more of collector’s item in future? Thoughts, opinions appreciated Dan
