I'll take this thread seriously and make a comment. The problem with Dr. Quin's assertion is that he will not behave as though reality is a simulation. When his wife or child receives the diagnosis of an internal cancer (for example), he will not say, "It's ok. The pain and anxiety you are feeling is not real. Your are just a simulation." No, he will immediately consult the best specialists who will not inform him that he's living in a simulation. They will not recommend to just go home, relax, and watch the latest WandaVision (which is a simulation), have some ice crème and cake.
I'm afraid that assertions like this only highlight the problem with modern science, especially modern theoretical physics, which is in denial that our reality really is real because its math and equations are totally inadequate to even remotely describe it. But they never cease in their attempts. Sorry, we are not living in WandaVision.
