Default Any Customer's receive 802D3 yet?

Wanted to get an idea how many owners have received their 802D3? Here in Toronto Canada, there's one dealer that has a pair but no other dealers have them.

Besides a handful of dealers out there, seems to me end users of 802D3 are scarce or non-existent. I haven't read any customer reports of these speakers yet. I know B&W have been focusing on the other models for delivery based on users getting the other floor standers.

My dealer says they are still awaiting their pair they pre-ordered back in Sept. Ordered mine in around that time and first on the list and I'm trying to be patient but was really hoping my pair would have come in by now for Xmas. My Dealer's B&W rep also has no clue when these are coming in!

I think I received custom ordered cars sooner over the pond than ordering these 802s! We'rent these speakers supposed to be available in Oct?

Like me my dealer isn't sold on the new series especially considering the huge price hike so I don't know if he'll stock them. He'll probably get in Focal Sopra's for the rooms in the store, they seem like a more safe bet cost/performance wise. At most I would expect him to get in a 803 at some point.

Yes the price hikes are still yet to be justified and another concern my dealer mentioned with the new line.

Actually I prefer the sound of the 802D2 and 803D2 over the new series.

Same in Europe. Delivery does not happen pretty fast. The 803D3 will probably arrive in Feb/March. Maybe the demand is just too high for the new series.

Nice!

B&W shares warehouses for US and Canada customers so maybe mine are in. Will see with Dealer.

Interesting, my dealer embraced them fully, and was the first dealer to showcase the entire line in store.

Ordered mine a little over a week ago from local Magnolia/Best Buy. I'm not anticipating anything for several weeks at least but you never know. They had a black pair in the showroom to audition (I ordered rosenut), yet no 803 d3. I went to my Modia to hear the 803d3, but they didn't have 802d3 to compare! Sounds like they're pretty scarce at this point. Good luck getting yours, hopefully it will be soon!

I suspect market is also a big deciding factor. If your dealer is in a market where product moves consistently and money for customers doesn't seem to be much of an issue then the dealer would be more inclined to make all products available ASAP. Right now my dealer doesn't have any 800 series as he sold the 802D2 floor model not long after the D3 series were introduced. That customer like me apparently did not like the look of the new series and grabbed the 802's off the floor while he still could. If he hadn't of grabbed them so fast I was going to get them and put them in storage in the event I'm able to go 7.1 again.

There is another B&W dealer locally, I haven't been over there in months so it's possible they have the new series in stock. They recently acquired the McIntosh license so have a room with those speakers plus they are a PSB and Bryston dealer and have rooms for that gear as well. The only 800 series speaker they had previously was a pair of 803's.
