Yes, Dan, you're absolutely right!

When I described new sound to one my audio fellow by phone and explained that I changed the Rack he said me: "You just shifted vibrations of your Setup in right side". Really I repeat - I did not expect such huge effect despite on my own experience in Hi Fi and Hi End.

My new phono preamp will be sent tomorrow finally, it will take 2 days to reach me, thus I plan to show new Rack (secret Rack! ) at Wednesday.

Sergio.......I'm looking forward to seeing what you have done. Now you will have to spend some time to break-in the phono stage preamplifier.

It looks that phono pre-amp doesn't need much time for breaking-in.
You loose your roof immediately.

Thank you very much, Dan!

I will tell later about new phono. It's very interesting device, with real esoteric background.

Sergio.......That is quite a unique enclosure. The craftsmanship and layout of the circuit boards looks very well done. How does it sound?

I have very small own experience with such type of audio device.

But I can say something:
this phono shows very good difference in quality of vynil plates. Some plates sound ugly. It's next level from my previous transistor phono which doesn't care so much what to play - even between nowadays and old vynil difference was not so significant. Indeed - all sound parameters are higher. Sound is natural, if vynil plate is recorded good - just any wish to analyze is absent.

I will buy tomorrow some valves for spares.
1 valve (double triod) 6H1n-ev is used also in my AMR DP-777, so I ordered 13 pcs including kenotron (it's valve in phono PSU).

I will show this bunch and calculations.

P.S. My thread looks like just dialogue between only 2 fellows. Sometimes also Bob R. writes here.

Sergio.......It certainly sounds like the new phono stage is a big step up from what you had been using. Your comment, "just any wish to analyze is absent", tells the story very well and is an excellent description of your happiness.

I would not be too concerned that our conversation doesn't have a lot of participants. You and I chatting back and forth is better than us making posts and no one comments. I do think if you would begin a new thread each time you have something new, like this new phono stage, you would attract more interest simply because the topic will be fresh. I have to assume that members read the same thread title over and over thinking to themselves they have already read that thread and don't return. Start some new threads and I think you will see an improvement in interest. Perhaps start a new thread on this phono preamp. It is an interesting piece of kit.

Good idea, Dan!

I also already know what I will tweak in this phono.
