Yes….
MC75’s x 2 MC275VI x 2 MA2275 MA352 The MC1502 crushes all of them. I’m telling ya…the 1502 is very special.

I see you now have a pair of 1.2's. Might you comment on what this change has brought to the table vs the 1502? Also, are you running separate lines for the 1.2's? Thanks, John

Take Jon’s word as the tube Gospel - the MC1502 is on my near-term radar

I like and a fan of this channels to. I think they influenced me a lot that I am addicted to Mac these days. I am sure it will be better than my 2102 but just love the look of my MC2102. Toga. |

Have also owned all of these except the MC1502. The first two are definitely keepers, especially the MC75s. The next two are a pair of clinkers to my ears. Especially the MA2275.

No disrespect but I disagree with Formerly YB-2 regarding the MA2275, I loved mine when I had it and sometimes wish I still had one. I thought it was an amazing tube integrated and was seriously disappointed when the MA252 was released as I hoped that McIntosh was going to come out with an upgraded MA2275. Regarding the MC1502, that’s a lot of tubes so be sure to consider the long term investment before buying one.

Truth be told, the reason I sold my 1502 was “the tube factor.” Im at a point in my life where I just want plug and play. And, for me, my 1.2kw’s are end game. I would consider another Mc tube amp for a second system in the future…a design with fewer tubes…

I'm hoping to be in the market for some new equipment in the near future. Been doing my research and diligence and this 1502 has really caught my eye. All of the print reviews I've read and all of the YouTube reviews I've watched have all been very, very positive on this amp.
I'm not at all concerned or waived off by the tubes themselves, although one big concern I have is heat. The last tube amp I used had 4 6550's and it ran smoking hot. That said, my brother has the MC275 MK6 and he claims it runs at modest heat levels. Never anything too much, but this amp is literally twice the amp (both size and power wise). Anyone try pairing the 1502 with a solid state preamp?
