my intro
Well Ive posted enough to be able to start threads, and yesterday I subscribed. Been into audio since I was 20 and heard a good friends pair of LaScallas powered by a Crown DC-300A and another friends Phase Linear 700B with a pair of Altec Lansing 'Voice of the theatres'(doesnt that take you back). In a couple of years I had my own DC-300A powering a set of K-horns. Still using the K-horns.
I live in the desert southwest. Did over 20 years in the midwest. Hate the cold. Hate the snow. Still have windchill nitemares. Not all that fond of rain now that I think of it, but if its a warm rain its tolerable. I spent 15 years here as a volunteer rattlesnake remover for the county. That was interesting. Finally got bit. Every volunteer eventually does. So I got out of reptiles and moved on to fostering greyhounds. Ive been designing Printed Circuit Boards since the mid 1970's using various brands of CAD tools. Ive worked for several CAD companies as technical support to sales and end user training. But I got to the point where living out of a suitcase got real old. And I was starting to be asked to travel to places I simply did not want to go. So back to designing I went. I currently work full time at home designing boards for various companies thru a contracting agency. I like to work late normally. Its quiet, the phone isnt ringing and the dogs are asleep. Thats when I make a fresh pot, headphone up and go to work.

TMC.......Your red SUBSCRIBER banner looks great. Good to have you onboard. My first system of any quality was in 1968. I had Altec Voice of the Theater speakers driven by a pair of McIntosh MC30 mono tube amps and a Dynaco PAS3 tube preamp. That system rocked the house.
