Default MC2102 - Bulbs Or LED

When the first MC2102's were launched, understand they were of "light bulbs" lighting.

However, the "Price Lists" now states as LED lighting (optic).

Which is true? Bulbs or LEDs?

Anyone care to comment? Unfortunately Ron C is not here to answer. Maybe the master can help enlighten!

Yes, I heard from the local dealer that McIntosh is shipping MC2102 with LED...am also confused cause Ron C replied to my query on AK a few weeks ago that there is no such thing. However, the local dealer says this is what the factory told him...LED

Mine came with bulbs. If MAC(not Audio Classics) has the fiber optic lighting available then I'll have mine switched out. I'll give Chuck Hinton a call in a month or so to see if MAC offers this now.

We have NO answers to this as yet!

I own this amplifier and mine came with bulbs. I bought mine new in June 2006.
I've also just checked the McIntosh web site and no mention of LED's for lighting are mentioned.
This is a excellent amplifier irregardless of the method for panel lighting.
I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially recommended for use with digital playback with a MCD500 CD/SACD player- no preamp needed.
