Default Classe Delta Mono vs. Mcintosh MC611

Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to listen to both McIntosh MC611 and Classe Delta Mono amps. I have heard the MC611 on the smaller B&W 805D4 and it sounded great with the C2700 pre.

I stayed with the Classe Pre as I like the base management options and the physical dimensions were better for my setup. (Need to set on top shelf and not block TV. The McIntosh was like 2x as tall)

When it comes to the Classe Mono, I like the massive transformers and technical capabilities, but the fan and the way the power meter is lit only from above and not back lit is a little bit of a turn off. The way it function doesn't look that great.

I was unable to demo the Classe Mono in store as it wasn't on display. Mcintosh meter functions and looks a little better and no fan. Any thoughts? Would it be weird to pair a Classe Pre with McIntosh Amps?

Additional details:
Preamp: Classe Delta Pre
Speakers: Paradigm S6, soon to be B&W 804D4.

This is a tough one! I haven’t heard either amplifier so I can’t help you there.

They are both modern high power monobloc amplifiers with outstanding performance.

I do like to stay with one manufacturer for my preamp and power amps. For that reason alone I’d go with the Classe’ amps.

You’d be happy with either I’m sure. Here are some secondary considerations.
How is the service network where you live? In NA McIntosh wins hands down. They are tops.

What do you think about the differing circuit arrangements?
Classe’ uses mosfet output devices.
McIntosh uses bipolar output devices in a quad balanced arrangement and transformers.

Stereoohile has reviewed the Classe’ Delta and the MC 462 which will be similar to the MC 611. Maybe those reviews will give you some insight.

Not a bad choice either way.

I have not heard the newest ones.
But I did a back to back on 601 and the previous Classe Delta.

Thank you for the responses! It did seem hard to go wrong. Live in NA, Classe and McIntosh network pretty strong. I like the technical aspects of both, but the Classe in particular seems hard to beat. The current wait time for anything McIntosh was also a factor. I ended up going with the Classe Monos. Excited to try out the matching setup soon!!
