Our library reading room had Eames chairs with ottomans. For me (old knees), are difficult to get into and out of as they are too low. I've played with the idea of putting on a raised platform of some sort, but I'd probably fall off same. Some interesting alternatives are offered by others, such as made in MN Blu Dot: https://www.bludot.com/modern-living...ge-chairs.html Their rocker with black legs looks interesting.

Resurrecting this thread - we recently updated our media room and moved the Ekornes recliners with ottomans downstairs.
Thought about the Eames chair - which is a beautiful classic but we didn't want all those ottomans anymore. So, we got the attached furniture set (chairs plus loveseat). Himolla, from Germany. I am impressed with the comfort and build quality, but only two weeks in the house.
