Dan,

I would love read your review of the MX136 with a pair of MC303's . Of course you will probably want another JL sub too. I am thinking about upgrading my home theater audio set up .

David.......What I have be toying with in my thoughts is converting the studio 2 channel system to a 5.1 system. Right now, I have two completely seperate systems in the studio, when one high quality 5.1 system would fit the room much better. I would probably sell the C2300 preamp, the MR85 tuner, and the Micro Seiki DD-40 turntable, replacing those with a MX136. Then, using the existing MC352 for the back channels, I would add a MC303 to power the left, center, and right front speakers. More than likely I would use the McIntosh XLS112 subwoofer that I have moved down there already. It sounds good in the studio.

Converting your studio system to home theater makes alot of sense and using the MC352 along with your Mcintosh sub gets you half way .

Dan, it sounds like a great evolution in your system - (when I wrote my post in the other thread I didn't realize you were discussing the studio system). The pre/pro's have the modes to cover stereo & 5.1/7.1 configurations including more 5.1 than I need.

One problem I ran into was the limited available of quality mixed multi-channel music. I have both, a multi-channel room and 2-channel system. When listening to music I find myself in the 2-channel room most of the time.

After I got over the "wow factor" of surround music I found 2-channel to be cleaner. JMO...
