Different loading options. It comes with four standard and the buyer gets to set the fifth for any weird cartridges, etc. Have to say that I’m a sucker for Nixie tubes also (the pacific also has them).

There’s also a “0” (zero) setting, which is a mute.

Ugggghhh - looking at those pictures reminds me that I’m well past the whole matching components thing. I guess I have one of everything - silver/black/shiny gold/Accuphase gold/Magnum Dynalab gold/lampizator copper and more. Sounds better than it looks.
