RIP Rush!
I agree with the above statements regarding how he changed the face of talk radio and made you think whether or not you agreed with him. He seemed very intelligent, honorable, true to himself and his beliefs, and honest even when it was to his detriment. I am very glad he received presidential honors before he died.

(I’m also sorry I missed the scrubbed comments because I find such comments enlightening about the author.)

RIP Rush, a "companion unobtrusive" who was a pioneer, spoke truth to power, and while not perfect, kept a sense of humor and an optimism. An optimism that, while by no means unique to Americans, is an essential element of our character. My wife grew up in a family as it suffered greatly under a communist regime, and I think that made her enjoy listening to him even more than I usually did.
