I'm confused by this thread. Why would you want to buy a speaker that you don't particularly like in certain ways, only to put an equalizer in front of it to make it livable?

And isn't the snell a very old speaker? Surely some modern brand does what you want and outperforms a vintage model.

I agree with the previous post, magico isn't warm. Try sonus Faber, they are great speakers that are definitely not bright.

All speakers are compromised by the room they are placed in. Thinking you can get optimum performance from a speaker by. just placing it in a room and then correcting issues by moving the speakers to different positions and moving your listening chair is just folly.
