Received a '5 de Diapason', and was certainly added value to the practice today.

This played earlier today in the practice.
It certainly added to the healing.

Beethoven / Schniittke No. 3 - Violin Concertos
Vadim Gluzman
Luzerner Sinfonieorchester
, James Gaffigan
Qobuz 24/96

Well played and recorded... but... I didn't like the Schnittke cadenzas in Beethoven's Violin Concerto at all.
His own concerto on the contrary is worthy of my time.

Wonderful, gripping release.
Works from Weinberg, Josef Malkin, John Tavener.

Second time we hear this.
This needs several listening sessions.

New release. And world premiere recordings.
I always like to discover new names.
This is a very pleasant surprise.
‘...uncommonly lovely and ingratiating to the ear’ says the booklet, and it is really so.
Makes me think of Mozart.
The 2 met:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_Ignaz_von_Beecke

Von Beecke composed more than 300 works.

.

This was playing in my clinic earlier today.
At times, it's like you hear Mozart. Almost.
Really nice music.
