Listening to . . . You Are There - Roberta Gambarini & Hank Jones

A beautiful girl, a great voice and an extraordinary jazz piano, what more could one ask for?

Quote:
Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Roberta Gambarini is one of the most heralded talents of her generation.
Following her impressive debut, Easy to Love, Gambarini finds herself in her ideal environment
as a duet partner with the legendary pianist, Hank Jones singing songs which help to define the jazz cannon.

Jazz music from an unlikely duo. . .

Right as the Rain - Leontyne Price and Andre Previn

Previn is a really fine jazz pianist and has shown that talent on many recordings,
but Price - the opera star - was not generally thought of as a jazz singer - on this record, however, it somehow works. RCA listed this LP in their classical catalogue (the LSC in the catalogue number LSC - 2983 means "long playing or "LP" - stereo - classical") and sometimes her singing sounds a little operatic, but as a jazz singer, she is quite good.

A good crossover classical/jazz recording!

Jeff Beck - There and Back!
The man can play, and this is a well mixed and recorded Album.
