If true, that wouldn't surprise me too much, bluegrass is pretty popular here in the south, there are all kinds of local and regional bands that would fit in that genre. I guess it depends on what they consider the "most active". Not sure what that means exactly. Most requests perhaps?

With so many young people streaming music, I find it very hard to believe that classical or bluegrass would be number one.

On the reference music site AudioAficionado, the separate genre threads indicate this:
Classical: 23,747 posts Jazz: 11,608 posts Rock: 785 posts Blues: 729 posts World: 186 posts This means classical is by far the most popular genre there, followed by jazz. The rest is just peanuts compared to these 2 genres. (I'm just having a little fun too )
