no standby switch on Accuphase .. what do you do?
So it occurred to me, that unlike with my McIntosh and dCS gear, my Accuphase DP-560 doesn't provide for a stand by switch... so one has two options.
a) Leave it an all the time and it's warm and ready to play - minimum stress on the components from thermal cycling
b) Turn it off when not in use, which could mean turning it on and off more than once a day, but it stays off the majority of the time, vs in option a) being on all the time. It's also room temperature when you turn it on, so needs 1 hour or so for the circuits to warm up.
What do you chose to do, and why?
And I wonder what Accuphase's position on this is?
