The Flu is bad this year.

Ivan feel better! I'm just recovering from Covid myself - its no joke! The latest variant is highly contagious. My wife and son in law just had it also.

The wife and I both got our flu shots about four weeks ago. We got the current booster Covid shots yesterday. We both had Covid in early October and that was not as bad as the reaction to these booster shots. Hope you get better soon.

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Ivan! I had the flu vaccine and bivalent Covid booster in October and so far so good. Spoke with my doctor last week and he said they're currently seeing much higher numbers of flu infections than Covid in our area of suburban Chicago. Hope everyone maintains their health and are able to enjoy the holiday season with the best of tunes with family and friends!

It's supposed to be summer here in Auckland, but it has rained almost every day! The drought of the last 5 years is gone, and all of the lakes that supply water that were below 65% full last year, are over 100% and spilling water.

With the warm but wet weather, this flu is running through NZ. I've had 2 staff off this weekend, both have had Covid (one of them twice) but both say Covid was a walk in the
park compared to the flu they have. Glad Im jabbed.

I had my flu shot but unfortunately whatever this is, the shot wasn't enough.

I'm on week two of upper respiratory distress, congestion, sinus and cough all included.

Feel better everyone. The flu shot helped my wife and I when we seem to have picked it up. I sailed through in a day. It hung onto my wife and went to walking pneumonia which she has now kicked.

We have been exposed to Covid recently but have been spared. Perhaps having had it in June helped? Not getting anymore boosters.

At the end of the day, though, it's really simple: viruses doesn't care about our feelings or "sensibilities". They're not even alive. Viruses are a "biological construct" that are driven, quite simply, by...THERMODYNAMICS. One of the four "engines" of the Universe. And, the facts are also that vaccines work, both with respect to individuals and more importantly, from the perspective of epidemiology and populations, overall.

Ivan, hope you're feeling better very soon. If you can, get and take some Sambucol 3X/day. It has strong antiviral properties; it was developed by an Israeli medical virologist. I kept my cat, Eddie, who became FIV+, alive for 5 years after he seroconverted by giving him Sambucol 2X/day (yes, it really did help to have been a molecular biologist). Most cats only live 1 year after becoming FIV+.

I am pro-vac, but I have strong doubts about the Pfizer Covid vaccine. Ive had 3 jabs of it- still haven't had Covid. My parents had 4 jabs of it- caught Covid (religiously wore masks & had minimum contact with anybody)and were very sick, but recovered. My sister & her kids refused to have any Covid jabs, got Covid, and had nothing but the sniffles.

I'm a bad asthmatic (Auckland is the Capitol City of Asthma) and have my annual flu jab, take Baccaline during winter, and my inhaler, and haven't had the flu in 10 years.

I've had every vaccine under the sun, and the only one I have doubts about is the Covid jab.

Ill try the Sambucol

Good, it works really well.

Vaccines do not prevent infection, they prevent people ending up in the hospital, in the ICU, or dying. In the US alone, the C-19 vaccines have averted over 3.2 Million excess deaths and over 18 Million hospitalizations. This is data is statistically significant with ±95% confidence intervals.
