I'm by myself for a week, so nothing much.

I might try a simple burger, with grilled pineapple to top it off, and grilled veggies.

Mostly I'll be buying music like crazy. My bday was on the 2nd, so this year I've pledged as my bday gift to myself one hundred new albums! Good thing Mel is gone. Music has been playing nonstop.

BTW, I sold my BGE. I wasn't using it. Now I miss it. At least I only lost $50, so that was worth trying it out. Looks like they have lots of competition, now that the egg has come off patent. That Kamado Joe looks identical.

So!

Music and a pineapple burger with grilled veggies on the old gas grill.

Happy 4th!

I decided the theme for the proteins would be the same anatomic part of various mammals and one avian [for those who don't eat red meat].

Rack of Lamb, Rack of Pork, Rib-Eye Steaks and Chicken Breast.

Went over to Yolanda's Moms and got her outside. Grilled some shrimp, country pork ribs, and a Tri tip. Food was good but I think Mom liked being outside best.

We had our July 4th BBQ yesterday on Sunday July 6th. We had 22 people at the house. The weather was fantastic--sunny but not too hot with a nice breeze all day long.

I was surprised with amounts of the different meats were consumed, which as I mentioned in my last post were all the same anatomic part of the various cattle. I was expecting the rib-eys to be the most popular, but we ran out of the rack of lamb early on. The rack of pork went next, and the rib-eyes went next. The chicken was least consumed. Lots of wine and grilled corn on the cob as well as other sides were eaten. It was an all-day affair.
