Looking for a new grill myself - if I end up with anything that turns out decent, I'll post it here For anybody who has considered the Big Green Egg, but can't part with the $$$, you might want to take a look at this alternative: Shop Char-Griller Char-Griller Kamado Akorn Grill at Lowes.com |

My doc taught me how to clean a gasser. Get the heavy duty aluminum foil . put it shiny side down turn all burners on high, close the lid. After about ten minutes you will have incinerated everything . A quick wipe with a brass brush and it is clean as a whistle:

I'm very happy with my Fire Magic. I'm thinking of adding a Big Green Egg because it does some things that gas grills just can't but for convenience you can't beat a top of the line gas grill. I use mine all year. In the winter I shovel a path through the snow to get to the grill.

175 at the thermostat which is well above the grate. Grate temp is higher but you can't go lower than 175 on the temp setting for the Traeger.
But since you brought up thermodynamics, can you explain to me how temps go up in the meat after it is pulled off the heat and allowed to rest at room temp? Not being a smart**. I do not know. |

I think my credibility is just fine. Eating food prepared on a BGE is pleasurable like spinning vinyl.
