I have my sub's hooked to the secondary output's of the C2300, but both of mine have built in crossovers. (REL will, not sure about JL audio)

JL Audio does not have a built in cross over network. It does have a low pass filter.

Yes, you can connect a JL sub directly to the C2300 via the second and third set of outputs (labeled 1, 2) and use the crossover built into the sub. This is what I did when I had my C2300.

I stand corrected. I forgot that the 2300 had the extra outputs. Yes, then, you should be fine with either the REL or JL Audio subs.
My bad...sorry for the confusion. |

Sounds little complicated. I do used the Sub before with HT not on 2 CH yet.( so always using one single wire to sub ) I guess I do have do some home work in here.
When you say go with the speaker cable terminal means go with the power amps to speaker terminal first then put them back out to my main speakers ? correct ? |

Do you have a SSP (like a MX151)?

Sorry, I'm not clear on what you're asking, but a JL Audio sub will work with your C2300. I'm not familiar with REL, but I'm sure that would work too.
