Default Ceiling fan situated over seating position ?????

Curious if anyone has a rotating ceiling above their seating position .... some folks say it muddles the sound and others say it is a terrific diffuser - Anyone have first hand experience ?

I have tall ceilings and I don’t hear any difference in the sound. But if I had shorter ones, that may impact the sound some. And exactly where they are in relation to the system and your seating position would impact this to IMO. Also how tall your speakers would also be a determining factor IMO.

I'm building the house and that is why I'm asking ...

They are Wilson SabrinaX speakers so about 3' tall and 8' apart with a Watch 3 in the center - I'm back 8' and the ceiling is 9' ... usually I'd place two room treatments at the primary ceiling refection point

If I go fan it would be flush mount the fan so the drop would be 1' or so

I’d definitely put one in. With Sabrina’s - great speakers - I don’t think you’d run into a problem.

I’m assuming this is in a great room, not a dedicated audio room. If it was a dedicated room than I’d put in “extra” AC vents in and insure they are properly sound proofed and all.

Yes will be going from a dedicated acoustically treated room with ample ac vents to a "gathering room" floor plan - Had a friend much more knowledgeable than I do some measurements with a pair of Sonus speakers under a ceiling fan and he said no worries with the fan on a low setting

'nuff said
