Turntable for McIntosh
I have been looking for a turntable, because I would like to listen to vinyl records. I'm going to connect a turntable to McIntosh C52.
The SME has raised its prices and it is quite expensive nowadays. I’m not sure how good the price-performance ratio is today. SME Model 20/3 would have been out of my price range, but I can get SME V re-wired tonearm for really good price. Certainly SME Model 20/3+SME V tonearm package is a great turntable and I could get it for a really good price compared to normal local price, but it is still the most expensive choice. I can add Clearaudio Stradivari V2 or similar priced cartridge for Clearaudio and Transrotor package and it’s cheaper than SME 20/3+SME V tonearm. McIntosh MT10 looks great with other McIntosh components, but it is also quite expensive turntable. MT10 has been priced differently than other McIntosh products here and local price is really high. McIntosh MT10 would have been out of my list, but I got a little bit better offer than what the regular offer is, because local dealer will order more than one MT10. Still Clearaudio or Transrotor package with Clearaudio Stradivari V2 or similar priced cartridge is cheaper than McIntosh MT10+Clearaudio Stradivari V2 cartridge. My turntable list without cartridge is: Clearaudio Innovation+Universal 9” VTA+Statement record clamp Transrotor Rondino Nero+SME V McIntosh MT10 SME Model 20/3+SME V I have been looking at Clearaudio Stradivari V2, Lyra Kleos, Benz-Micro Gullwing or similar priced cartridges. Benz-Micro LP-S might be out of my price range. |
