I have heard these at dealer showroom and always gravitated to have scala.
I use BW and Scala alternatively with MC 1.2KW amp.
My take is BW throws music at you(forward) while Scala invites you to listen ,besides enjoying a Beryllium Tweeter.
Thank you, this is really helpful. I am leaning towards the Scala V2. I just need to decide whether I go with White Carrera or Hot Chocolate...

Let us all know what you decide on and your impressions after break-in. Both finishes look beautiful.

Quite similar, though the 'seamless' presentation from the Scala was outstanding.

I made my decision, I bought the Scala V2 in Hot Chocolate! They will be delivered in a couple of weeks.
I can't wait to connect them and start listening to my music again, can't imagine what they would sound like compared to the outgoing B&W 802D's.

Outstanding gurt! You're making me drool just thinking about your new system. Maybe you'll have time for an A-B comparison between the B&Ws and the Focals. That is if you'll still have your current speakers.

If you can, listen to the Sopra 3's. To my ears they were considerably better than the Sopra 2's, which themselves are very good. The difference is transparency, soundstaging, and dynamics although the tonal balance is similar. The 3's produce a larger sound field that surrounds the speakers and makes the speaker disappear.

Thank you Jayvis. The 802's are nothing but a distant memory by now, they have already been sold and picked up :-)
I spent so much time with them and have a good memory of what they sound like, so I can't wait to get the new speakers and do some critical listening.

Yes, I think that if I had to choose between the 2 and 3, for my space, I would have gone with the 3. I did however decide to go with the Scala :-)
Based on the feedback I received here, the Scala surpasses the Sopra line, all I can do now is wait and hear it myself!

You made the correct decision.
